I was confused and stressed watching this scene, but then when that voice said Jim's name I knew that it was the entity messing with him when he thought there was hope of someone outside the town. Just pure chills

Basically, they are trapped in a place where they can't leave, and creatures come out at night and kill they look like people until they dont. In this scene they are trying to get a signal out but when they did they knew Jims (The guy talking) name and warned him his wife Tabitha shouldnt be digging the hole (Shes digging a whole in the house of the basement) and minutes after he warned Jim the house came down.

The show is called From, it’s airing it’s 3rd season right now and this scene is from the 10th episode of the first season.

Here we see Donna, the old big bodied lady calling Jim, the guy on the radio, to come back inside due to a massive storm approaching. The house is called the colony where a big group of people live in together. It is not the main setting of From but an extension.

Jim and the people of the colony work together to create a massive tower atop the house in order to get a signal to potentially call for help. Jim tries signal after signal to no avail before 1 finally answers. As you see, whoever it is knows who Jim is and warns him of his wife (Tabitha) in danger. Tabitha was digging a hole in their house because although electronics like lamps work, there are no power lines connected to anything to draw electricity from.

Jim’s family consists of himself, his wife Tabitha, his eldest daughter Julie and his youngest son Ethan, who is autistic. They were traveling in their RV before being trapped within the town the show is set in. Monsters appearing as humans live beyond the town in the forests and come out every night to hunt humans for sport. They’re virtually invincible and kill just for fun.

I’ll explain clearly
They’ve been trapped in a limbo where they are stuck in the same small town and whenever they leave they end up right back at the start of the town again.
It’s been years for some people, once you enter the town you never get out, but new people still show up sometimes.
No one has ever been able to make any form of contact with the world once being trapped in the limbo, until the newest survivors build this massive radio antenna, after months of anticipation trying to get it to work. They finally test it during a storm that could potentially break it as well just to find the radio signal to be a person/entity that already knows his name and says something about his wife he shouldn’t be able to know…….
