Forex is generally faster and more liquid (easier to get into and out of any trade), and due to leverage it's also more accessible for new traders. however, long term it has no "trend" unlike the stocks market which generally goes up. forex generally goes all over the place, as the values aren't based on a company but a country.

i am ex forex trader. honestly in my experience, forex more difficult and exhausted than stock. trading or investing in stock more convenience because all company aim to rise their equity. so most company will always have uptrend growth. also the dividend form stock is always lovely

my advise, trade stock first. after you be an expert, you can go to forex or commodity. there is always have step for everything
