Volvo MD6A Diesel Handcrank Startup and Running

I recently rebuilt this 1970's MD6A Volvo Diesel Engine for a sailboat project. Similar to the MD7A but slightly smaller cylinders. She is about 10hp.

Very nice. I have a 40 year old MD7A and it’s still running. Yours seems to be very smooth with not much vibration. What boat is it going in?

Hi, I have a MD6A with an engine oil leak. (Not the oil filter). It leaks even when the engine is not running. I am not near the boat at the moment (it's in Australia and I'm in France).
Would you mind telling me does this engine have a sump plug? Or is the leak more likely the sump gasket?

Very nice! I have one in my Albin Vega. The cooling system leaks though. Any thoughts on how you would tackle that problem? I have talked to marine mechanics and they all dont want to touch it given lack of parts, etc.

Where did you source your parts? I have one in a boat I just acquired and it's going to need a lot of work. I got the boat for free though, so don't mind.
