New iPad owner just added Koala and my 1st synth app will be this one, it’s a old school sound I am an 80’s baby so sounds I am familiar with and can morph into something unique. As a kid only one kid on our block had a synth and it was a Casio cz 101 and we all thought it was amazing and brings back memories for me.

I used to have 2 CZ-101's. I used one for bass sounds and one for leads or pads. I liked to run them through a Rat distortion pedal. I ran a CZ through a Rat and a delay for a pretty convincing guitar sound. I played a tape of a tune I'd done to a guitar player friend of mine who said, "I didn't know you played guitar!" LOL!! They are not too hard to program once you understand how and a lot more capable than many give them credit for. This app is like the old CZ on steroids. Thanks for the demo!

Had one in the band. It has a very distinct sound. I think I will buy the app for nostalgia and in remembrance of our late keyboard player. Lung cancer from smoke filled New York Clubs back in the day before they banned smoking inside. He was a non-smoker.

Never had a cz. I went down the dx100 route because the dx had 8 note poly instead of 4.

This is nice for a change to see a CZ in iPad. Would be nice also to see one for a VZ series also but that's just my thought.

Oh dear. I'm afraid this synth leaves me cold. The CZ series was the poor man's DX (I know, because I was that poor man). They were great back in the day because that's all we had, and for a quid or so a wee bit of nostalgia is fine. But FFS! They are taking the wee wee! Must have paid too much for the name.

I just purchased this mainly for the Electric Organ that was on the original. I forget what the preset was called....maybe cheezy organ or something. I can't find it on the app....are the extra presets that one can import?

at 15.13 you almost have the intro sound to pulp's 'common people' i found myself singing "... I took her to a supermarket" This is weird though, I have owned an ipad for the last 6 years, bought every music app worth buying and never knew this app existed until now. I have owned 3 cz keyboards a 100, 1000 and 3000. I still have the 1000 so It's not an app i would pass up if I saw it. The cz synths are the only synths (in my humble opinion) which are capable of generated a convincing low end which permeats everything in the mix (like a real bass guitar does). Start off with a preset organ sound and tweak the decay and release to shorten it to a more natural bass guitar envelope, play 2 or 3 octaves down from middle c and hey presto, the fattest most realistic bass guitar sound you've ever heard. I'm really excited about this, If this app can pull the same stunt with low end frequencies then I've found my new plug-in bass machine for my ipad pro (fingers crossed) I'll be on the app store buying this as soon as I get home.

Has anyone found a way to contact support? I'm enjoying it so far but getting random crashing when loading user presets. I haven't found any link to support which is the downside of using apps created by the big companies. With the smaller ones you're likely to be able to speak directly to the dev.

Thing is though, that the CZ range actually used analogue oscillators digitally controlled. It was actually an analogue synth. Emulations are great, but nature wins.

I had the cz3000. I bought it at a pawn shop for 130.00 and it was in perfect shape. I sold it for 50.00 because it was a bear to move around.

How are you controlling the iPad app keyboard wise? I have an Ozonic with after touch but how get it to talk to iPad or is control USB only?

I still run My ipad on iOS 7, dident uppgrade cuz of Alcemy synth. Its to greate to loose. And this runs on iOS 8 only, what a shame!
