So I just failed it due to timeout, but watching this I realized it's even more stupid than I thought. Not only they give you a time limit without telling you about it (meanwhile most narratively time sensitive quests don't have an actual timer), but the instructions in the book are so dumb that they fit on multiple paths. Like seriously,

you go straight east from Uzhitz like the book tells you - check
Christ's finger - alright there is a big standalone tree on the horizon to the left - check
thousand workers - there seems to be a broken house seemingly being rebuilt with new logs next to the road - check
behemoths mouth swallows you - when you reach forest you go into it - check
2 apostles where the guy fed himself fruits of their labor - there is a camp with 2 poachers if you walk a bit in the same direction - CHECK

that's where I abandoned the quest and I thought I had it. Meanwhile it's not even the same area. I was pretty mad about the timer but seeing this I'm not even gonna bother. A monkey could design this better.

This quest went fine for me. Even looted the Bauer’s farm once they’d had their bedtime chat. I decided to dob them into the vicar. Only problem I had was it wouldn’t let me talk to father Godwin about it when I returned to ushitz

I have no option to tell the vicar that they fled after doing everything. Ive done this quest 3 times now trying to get the dialogue option and I can only tell him that Ive found the heretics everytime

I have a problem with that quest, cause I have yet to find a single villager that will tell me anything about that cross.
