How England ALMOST Abandoned America (And if They Did)

If I were to ask you what year America was founded, I'm sure that you'd probably say that it was founded in the year 1776. And, sure, the United States was founded as an independent nation in the year 1776. But, America as a people have been around for far longer than that, back to the year 1607, with the establishment of the Settlement of Jamestown. But, conditions in Jamestown were so bad, in fact, that England almost completely abandoned the colony outright. So, what if, in an alternate timeline, England had abandoned America?

It would be interesting to explore a world where the failed colonies of America succeeded instead of the real ones. Like New Sweden, New Holland, Acadia, France Antarctique, Scottish Panama, Fort Caroline, Charlesbourg Royal, Popham, Roanoke, Ajacan mission and Santa Elena. And maybe a successful native state in New England led by Metacomet.

I honestly thought the scenario was gonna follow the question of "what if the English colonies broke away from England during the English civil war", and why it could've been interesting is because the Colonies sided with the King even after he was beheaded. So then it could've been like oh what if King Charles escaped to America or like what if the English monarchy was exiled in 15 whatever year it was. It could've been a Brazil like story of an exiled Monarch taking advantage of the new world to create a stronger nation than the homeland.

What if… the Kingdom of Sicily remained independent and king William didn’t die without a successor.

To my disappointment, there is no New Sweden.

Is there a possibility that at a later point, England could take New Netherlands, as they did the Cape Colony? Could New Netherlands be the South Africa of this timeline?

Wasn't there a previous Roanoke colony that got abandoned before the one that disappeared?

I thought Captain John Smith was sent back to England because the people of the colony were unhappy with his leadership. Am I mistaken in this information?

What if Italy had corsica during the life of Napoleon thus not letting him rise the ranks in France.

This scenario is so realistic, Napoleon, the Napoleonic Wars, & the occupation of Dutch colonies by Britain never existed!
