Hi Charmaine, love watching your videos! I currently use a soft cover Hobonichi Weeks and mine lays completely flat. The trick is to flatten out the pages/spine every time you use it. I run my fingers down the center of the notebook and press down as I go. Now all my pages lay flat no matter where I open it. Eventually it should flatten like this. Hope that works for you! The Milk Tea is such a nice color and I love that cover-on-cover paired with it.😊

I love that color. I wish they’d just make hard cover weeks. Are there people out there that love the soft covers??? There must be, right?

Omg! I literally was going through the same dilemma. I got the milk tea because of the beautiful color, but I also picked up the gold that's like made of paper card stock. The gold lays flat, but not crazy about the color. I couldnt decide, so I'm keeping both. I'm going to make the milk tea work by clipping it down. The fact that your holder fits in your cover is a sign to keep it. 😁

On the hobonichi website they have this to say about the polyurethane weeks: "Avoid using with Clear Cover. This cover uses thicker materials than usual, so it may not fit. Forcing it into a Clear Cover may damage the product." But I do have to admit that clear cover looks really good on the milk tea weeks.

The new weeks looks so good with that cover on cover! Is that the type they used to call “Sneaker” version? I thought those didn’t work with the clear covers? I thought those were supposed to be slightly smaller dimensions. But yours seems to fit. I like the combo! I’d go with what you are more drawn too!

Wish they would make the hard cover in Japanese mega in the tea color. This year was not good for neutral colored folks.

both are very precious ! bunnies looks more handy but I felt in love so hard with the Milk tea cover. Even the elastic band matches with the Milk tea !
