Korean Chilli Garlic Potato Bites
Servings - 5
INGREDIENTS
Water - 1 litre
Potatoes - 600 grams
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Corn flour - 100 grams
Water - 1 litre
Cold water - 1.2 litre
Oil - 2 teaspoons
Garlic - 1 tablespoon
Onions - 50 grams
Red chilli sauce - 2 teaspoons
Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
Tomato puree - 40 grams
Water - 200 milliliters
Corn flour - 2 tablespoons
Water - 40 milliliters Chilli flakes - 1 teaspoon
Coriander - 1 tablespoon
PREPARATION
1. In a heavy skillet, add 1 litre water, 600 grams potatoes, 1 teaspoon salt and cook for 1 minute.
2. Cover it with lid and cook for 12 - 15 minutes.
3. Remove it from heat and strain it.
4. In a bowl, add boiled potatoes and mash the potatoes with the help of a food masher.
5. Add 100 grams corn flour and knead it into a dough.
6. Take some mixture in your hands and shape it into a mushroom. (See video)
7. Place it on a plate and keep aside.
8. In a heavy skillet, add 1 litre water, prepared mushrooms and cover it with lid. Cook for 10 minutes.
9. Open the lid and remove it from heat.
10. In a bowl, add 1.2 litre cold water, boiled mushrooms and rest for 2 minutes.
11. Heat 2 teaspoons oil in a heavy skillet, add 1 tablespoon garlic and saute for 30 seconds.
12. Add 50 grams onions and cook for 1 - 2 minutes.
13. Add 2 teaspoons red chilli sauce, 1 teaspoon soy sauce, 40 grams tomato puree, and cook for 4 - 5 minutes.
14. Add 200 milliliters water and boil for 2 minutes.
15. In a bowl, add 2 tablespoons corn flour, 40 milliliters water and mix it well.
16. Pour onto prepared gravy, add potato mushrooms and cook for 2 - 3 minutes.
17. Add 1 teaspoon chilli flakes, 1 tablespoons coriander and cook for 1 - 2 minutes. Remove it from heat.
18. Serve.
