BEST OF BRATISLAVA! (24 HOURS IN SLOVAKIA'S CAPITAL)
Показать описание
Bratislava is Slovakia's capital and well worth a visit. In this vlog, we show you the best of Bratislava. This includes its charming Old Town, delicious Slovak food, and the famous Bratislava Castle.
These are the best sights in Bratislava:
-St. Michael’s Gate
During medieval times, Bratislava was surrounded by walls. Michael’s Gate is the only gate remaining and an entrance to the Old Town.
-Main Square
Bratislava’s Main Square has the Maximillian Fountain, cafes, shops, and many of the cities landmarks.
-Primates Palace
It is located in Bratislava’s Old Town. It is a pink palace that is home to the mayor’s office. Inside the palace is the famous Hall of Mirrors.
-Cumil
Bratislava has several statues. Cumil is the most famous one. It is a bronze statue of a sewer worker peaking his head from a manhole.
-Blue Church
The Church of St. Elizabeth is a Catholic Church in the Old Town of Bratislava. It is called the Blue Church because of its pastel blue color.
-Bratislava Flagship Restaurant
This restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy Slovak cuisine. Here we tried garlic cream soup in a bread bowl. We also tried a sampler platter that had dumplings with sheep cheese, pirogi with sheep cheese, and dumplings with cabbage and bacon. They also have a brewery, so we tried the local beer.
-St. Martin’s Cathedral
It is one of the oldest churches in Bratislava. It is known as the coronation church because the Kingdom of Hungary’s coronations happened there.
-Old Walls
From St. Martin’s Cathedral, you can see remnants of Bratislava’s old walls. We walked along the walls, crossed the bridge, and climbed up a lot of steps to make it to the Bratislava Castle.
-UFO Bridge
Nový Most, also known as the UFO Bridge goes over the Danube River. It has a flying saucer structure at the top that is an observation deck and a restaurant serving traditional Slovak food.
-Bratislava Castle
It sits high on a hill overlooking the Danube River. It is Bratislava’s main tourist attraction. It was home to many members of the Habsburg family.
