Hi, I'm half Kenyan and I really want to learn how to speak swahili. I can understand most of it, but speaking is kind of hard, cause I lack the vocabulary and grammar^^

“Shikamoo” in Tanzanian Swahili, is very formal and only used, when greeting older people as a sign of respect and is said, whilst you curtsy with your head down. The older people then, touch your head and replies with “marahaba”. It is not used to greet your peers or those younger than you.
