This drill is great to help you get started in the game of dinks. The lift dink is the most basic of dinks and should be mastered by players looking to become consistent and/or serious players.
You'll want to play a marker down about half way in the kitchen. and you will want to aim for that mark while keeping the ball low over the net. Doing so will ensure that your ball cannot be easily attacked by the opponents.
You can change up this drill by moving the marker side ways so that you are focusing on hitting to a person's backhand or forehand. It can also change which shot you are hitting (forehand/backhand).
To make the game more competitive, you can keep score and play games to a certain score such as 5 points.
This drill is made easier when your marker is flat like the one Gina is using so that when you hit the marker the ball still bounces and you can keep dinking.
