I love this so much. Thank you for coordinating this with Nob and demonstrating such reverence to his work for the franchise.

The reason why some obvious evolutions remained so vague while dropping hints, it's because they wanted to make you feel like you're making a scientific breakthrough in the Pokémon world.

Therefore just one more layer of immersion from this guide.

This is the first time I’m hearing about a rivalry between Raticate and Arbok really love these videos and I can’t thank you guys enough for going out of your way to translate this book

The writers probably intended the young players who read this and played the game to feel like they've discovered something upon finding out things like magikarp's evolution. Like they're part of the research team.

This is one of the coolest series on Pokemon that I have found.

That gyarados entry is crazy. Imagine going to the beach and seeing an actual sea monster washed up.

The fact that Magikarp was said to have dragon cells in its body this early on and yet Mega Gyarados was still made Dark type instead. Pain

In addition to Tentacruel being called the gangster of the sea in the anime. Bulbasaur's entry (from the previous video) mentioned that researchers are unsure whether to classify it as a plant or animal Pokémon, which was also used in the anime.

It's possible that the writers of the anime used this book for Pokémon info rather than the games.

"The rivalry between Arbok and Raticate didn't see much action throughout the series"
It wasn't super highlighted, but didn't Butch and Cassidy have a Raticate in the anime when Jessie had her Arbok?

I'm very puzzled the Magnemite wasn't categorized with the "urban environment" Pokemon! In the anime, the first place they encountered Magnemite was a polluted city.

Would have been cool if Arbok's belly design would have changed depending on what Nature it has.

Simply wonderful. The entire Did You Know Gaming team does such amazing work. I love how they give such respect to the creators themselves, but also bring in the other Pokemon YouTube content creators who also share their same love and respect. I don't think I made it clear last time, but Nekkra has done such a wonderful job presenting this. Thank you to everyone involved. You're still finding ways to make my childhood, even though that was decades ago.

The suspense of this multi-part series kills me. It's such an interesting book!

These Pokédex videos help shed a lot of light on what makes Pokémon so good in comparison to other Monster Collecting franchises. The amount of thought and planning that went into making this world seem real is incredible.

17:30 that statement makes me want to have a Mega Poliwrath that looks more frog-like

18:28 Most of the beginning of Magicarp's Pokédex Entry was actually used in the games - down to the wording.

Did anyone ACTUALLY get surprised at pidgeot catching a magikarp in new pokemon snap? It happens many times in previous games. Mostly magikarp jump (T.T)
