I love Gundam but as soon as I saw they were making the card game My Heart sank. I'll probably grab some starter decks to keep as a board game to play with friends but I don't see how they can support so many tcgs without them cannibalizing each other.

Pokemon Pocket is a charade for suckers, people don't physically own their cards, but money physically comes out of their bank accounts, that's almost as good as people handing over their graded cards to the eBay/PSA Vault. Is there that many people that live in virtual reality?

Happy New Year! Looks like another awesome year for TCGs. I think the new entrants will struggle to shift market share away from existing games, unless they can pull in a bunch of people who never previously played TCGs. Still, it's great for players and collectors to have so much variety👍

The League and Gundam games are the ones I'm looking at the most. I don't even know that much about the Gundam IP, but the game mechanics look fun. The League game though sounds like they'll be really heavily investing some prize money into the tournament scene and it would be cool to win some stuff when most games just do travel and prize cards.

I am most excited for league and gundam. The pokemon pocket tcg app is a terrible game. People will say games that feel random are coin flips but this game is actually decided by coin flips.

I just got into the new Star Wars Unlimited game. Super diverse meta and has a great local scene. A friend hosted a "Learn to play" event at my LGS and it jump started a weekly playgroup.

Bo Jackson Battle arena has sports stars, autos, packs are designed for breakers, and is a tcg. Has a passionate following but feels like very few people in the tcg or sports card communities are aware of it. The gameplay is fairly simple and the packs are addictive to open.

I would like to play the LoL card game, but the League community.
Similarly, Gundam is amazing, but the Bandai Namco.

You haven't missed it, because Alpha Clash was on the list last year. But it seems to me that more and more TCG's are releasing PvE products.
FAB talked about it a while back, Lorcana have released their quest box and Alpha Clash are set to release a PvE called Siege of the forgotten, this summer. And I would love to hear your opinion on those games, and that way to play TCG's

I am honestly looking forward to the Gundam tcg, but never heard of Godzilla until now so I know friends who will want to get into that as well. As for Bandai, I think what they are doing with all their card games is the way to go. Keep all the IP's separate from one another. Let them live in their own rule set rather than throwing them together into some fortnight train wreck.
