Wow. The FOV on these looks mighty impressive. Nice work, guys.

It's 3D stereo projected from the glasses. It's very wide FOV and very comfortable to wear and look at. We have full tracking in 3D space, so users don't get dizzy from inner ear vs visual conflicts.

This is in our hardware lab, so there are pieces of the retroreflective material scattered all over. The glasses project the 3D image to the reflective surface and it bounces directly back to each user(or camera in this case). The image is impossible to see without the surface. This allows multiple people to use the same surface and get unique views . We've let thousands of people try the glasses at public events(you can find this by searching castAR)

Some day we'll be looking at those pictures of people who bought six or nine monitors or more, to play a more immersive Flight Simulator or other game. Once you have CastAR, all you need to make your screen bigger is... more reflective paper on your wall!

Awesome guys! Keep up the good work!

The part where they unroll a second retroreflective surface and it just becomes part of the scenery begins to show some of the really cool aspects of this.

Before, I just thought this was nifty. Now, I'm actually interested. Bravo.

Great suggestions. We have several of these in the works!

The retroreflective material returns almost all the light directly back to the user. Projecting on any other surface scatters light in all directions.

I want to use that for my racing simulation cockpit...well, NOW!

We're very proud that we cracked the illness factor of VR/AR. I can't wait to try an Omni someday.

Finally, there's technology that enables the user to experience fully immersive gaming, without headaches, that can go way beyond the repetitiveness of FPS game action.

The potential for adventure games is unlimited with CastAR and the Omni, which enables the user to experience walking or running in any direction. Imagine walking through a forest or through a city, actually walking around corners and going into buildings, looking 360°.

And with sophisticated projection mapping... I've already thought of an excellent projection mapping application.

Wow this is the most impressive video that I've seen so far, I want it I want it I WANT IT!

Because putting a flat screen in front of both eyes is much more immersive than lining a room in the material and having a literal holodeck, where in any way you turn you see your virtual surroundngs. All with the most accurate head tracking in the genre, and realistic parallax. And all this on tiny, barely weighted sunglasses, instead of a giant brick weighting down the bridge of your nose.

Final production units will have more! We go to a full 720p per eye, so we can stretch the FOV.

That game looks fun. It usually takes 5 minutes to hook up our tracking in Unity. Takes a little more effort in custom engines.

Suggestion for the Kickstarter: target also hardcore PC gamers (early adopters). Possible ways to make them freak out: 1. emulation of borderless triple monitor setup (wet dream), 2. steering wheel + racing sim + looking around (like in VR but you can see your hands and the controller) 3. Starcraft 2 or Dota 2 projected on a table (or R.U.S.E which is a game designed for Surface Table). Table=huge monitor, it would be cool despite the lack of the parallax effects like in games designed for AR.

You could actually make real beer goggles with this, I'll get started on that application.

Very soon, but only if we feel we can express the experience accurately.

Demo in Star Citizen hangar to show : it works without support (?) i don't know if it needs one.
Anyway Oculus Rift is working with Star Citizen, that's why it's interesting to show a demo. Walking in hangar, looking down and sit in a ship. (I suggest hornet < not a fanboy but good interior)
