player access to various firearms, such as the Combat Shotgun, Super Shotgun, Heavy Cannon, Rocket Launcher, Plasma Rifle, BFG 9000, and Ballista. Melee weapons such as a chainsaw, the "Crucible Blade" energy sword and a retractable arm-blade "Doomblade" can also be used.

The game gets a lot more intense especially before u fight the icon of sin u basically fight all types of demons on that level including marauder but I think the best technique to taking out bigger demons is the double barrel shot gun and switch with the crossbow you have to be fast with it and as long as u know how to do that you can pretty much kill anything quickly.

Marauder tactics:
Super shotgun + Ballista

Not rocket launcher, or BFG or anything else.
