Recently ordered the big daddy. Just waiting for it to arrive today! I've been a bit loathe to get a dome swag because they seem to take up more space than my 2 room tent and mattress combined, but finally pulled the trigger for the convenience when I don't want to be erecting the taj mahal.

Hiya - just a quick question. I understand the reason for seasoning a swag so the stitching holes in the canvas close up as the swag dries after being soaked but is this a once off thing only for a new swag or do you need to repeat it every now and then for the life of the swag i.e. to stop the holes opening up again with use over time? Thanks - great review!
PS: I watched another of your swag reviews after this one so not sure if it was this one or the other you mentioned the seasoning - just so you know the question is related to one of your vids!

I find the 70mm mattress in the deluxe isn't comfortable enough for my liking. I use a self inflating mattress as well. I always do the extra rope thing to reduce the side drop too.

hey mate i have the kwiky i cut the rope into three and tie it to the rope it works really well for tensioning the hole swag no sag at all

another great vid mate. ive got two swags myself i have a big swag similar to the big daddy deluxe which i use when i go camping and stay in the one camp spot for the whole time and a single swag for one im changing camp spots each night doing 4wd trips in the vic high country and stuff like that and im a bigger bloke too and absolutely prefer the big daddy deluxe style swag 😂😂

Liked and subscribed. Fantastic video mate. I have purchased both swags in recent weeks. Haven’t camped with them yet, only set up at home to season them.
I found the same issue with the guy ropes and the plastic buckles on the Kwiky, very difficult to slide the buckle. Thought it was me but since you had the same issue I guess it’s just common with that swag. It also still had pools of water on the floor 24 hours after three rounds of seasoning with the hose. And the canvas did not bead water at all, like the Big Daddy Deluxe did. Lower gsm I know but still. Also one of the flaps on the canvas where you tie your guy rope too is also half frayed already after only being setup once, so that is disappointing as it will likely fail after only a few more set ups. I look forward to trying them both though.

Great video mate, however, you can see the quality difference between KIng's products and more expensive ones. Yes value for money but when you buy a more expensive one it lasts for a lifetime as opposed to buying several
