They NEED to crossover cause when compared to the books, whenever a specially powered individual sneezes, S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents are there awaiting take'em in but in Luke Cage, there were no S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents to be seen in the after math of essentially a high caliber gun fight??Or in DARE DEVIL, a little boy with so called super powers was smuggled into NYC for a super natural sacrifice but S.H.I.E.L.D. wasn't up in it??Or what about awaiting anything or anyone from Kun Lun, S.H.I.E.L.D. was AGAIN...nowhere to be seen.

correction: the defenders is coming out in August and The Punisher is coming out in November

all the Netflix series are produced by ABC studios so a cross over wouldnt be too difficult and would be a very smart move on ABC and marvels part.

Both Daisy Johnson and Frank Castle have contact with the hacker known as Micro. (Edit: And Micro is confirmed to appear in the Punisher)

Given the fact that most likely Coulson and possibly the rest of the Agents of SHIELD crew are in space while Defenders season 1 would take place. Perhaps the is could happen in Agents of Shield Season 5 when presumably both Phil Coulson and Daisy Johnson could be back on Earth in New York City.

Crossing over is just what the fans want. It's incontrovertible. MCU, movies, tv, whatever. If Marvel stamps their name on it, the fans want to see interaction.

It would make sense that S.H.I.E.L.D would get a place in the Defenders... Likely not Coulson, but another member at least. They really have to. 2 of the Defenders (Cage and Jones) are fairly well known to be enhanced thus falling into the accords. I could see Rand jumping at the chance to join the accords out of a sense of duty. And Depending on how they want to slice hairs, even Matt would have to sign up.

This is what I've been saying for awhile now. It make no logical sense, in universe, that they wouldn't be on SHIELD's radar in some capacity. But if they can't use the same actors, they should bring on a new agent

Before we found out Coulson was in space I was expecting him to appear right at the end of the defenders like Nick Fury in Iron Man.

The crossover idea would be great because of the connection.

I think it might make some sense to bring Agent 13, Sharon Carter, into the picture and have her do multiple guest appearances on "The Defenders, " and possibly one or two establishment appearances on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." That would tie the two together without any overt conflict between ABC and Netflix.

The Emily VanCamp character is already established as one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s stalwart agents, having appeared in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Captain America: Civil War. Another option would be Colby Smulders' character Maria Hill, but I think the producers could probably sign VanCamp for significantly less.

(The fact that I am Canadian, as are both Smulders and VanCamp, is incidental. It only occurred to me as I was typing that last sentence. But I do love Canadian actresses.)

They should use Shang-chi as an agent of shield on the defender team

Normally we would love to see "Not just a cross-over?" but maybe a separated- 2hour Movie, I do find it imposable cause of the way most of the filming schedule with all the shows are, the characters Daisy "Quake" & Coulson can appear as Guess-stars on one of each of the Netflix-shows. Coulson could go around to recruit each one(or try to Recruit) cause this group of "Special Marvels" have been outed by the public. (Sometime People take pics /it goes on line/ Coulson see these post, Thinks each one would make a Special SHIELD-Agents, that's his own "Initiative" remember that's how Fury got the AVENGERS together, He might even get special clearance with the government so they all have clean Record? Most likely 3 of the 4 won't be wearing costumes (Daredevil has his own costume) Luke only wears a yellow shirt with a gray hoodie, Jessica has her own leather jacket, Danny isn't going to wear a costume "or a head-mask" as much as we would want him to (try anything to save that show) But at the End it's better to do a special 2hour Movie have ABC-agent of SHIELD team-up with the DEFENDERS, fight A.I.M. this time. The reason I suggest a 2hour movie special cause it can be aired on both ABC as well as place on Netflix, and extra cast members can make guess appearance "Clair Temple-Rosario Dawson, /Karen Page / Kingpin / Foggy Nelson- Patsy "Trish" Walker ( Rachael Taylor) Misty Knight (Simone Cook) Colleen Wing(Jessica Henwick) If they feel the PUNISHER should make an appearance at the End (house cleaning) That how I would write it.

What I think would've been cool, is if in the early run of AoS, Mack was framed somehow into prison by Hydra. Then to get out sooner and back to his teammates, he agrees to that enhancing experiment that goes haywire from the racist prison guard. Mack smashes his way out and rejoins the team as Power Man, and Luke Cage is used as his own self-imposed wry nickname, from his Gospel readings of Luke while "in the cage." Henry Simmons definitely has the size and looks for that part.

Of course they should crossover. People get confused when things which should be in the same universe aren't. Shield being what it is, of course they would investigate.
