Has anyone seen 'Lord of war'? There is a fantastic part in that film where the Nicolas Cage (I know) character explains that we are not responsible for what they do with the weapons. We all know that countries will find the weapons somewhere else so why not make money out of an inevitability. Also it presumably finances innovation in our own armed forces. Horrible things will happen regardless of whether we are a player or not. I would much rather live in a country that sells weapons for our own benefit than one that doesn't for moral and ethical reasons. I'm not saying at all that the events using British weapons are a good thing, I'm just saying it's going to happen anyway.
