Sewing Vogue V9053 Pinafore Dress with Full Bust Adjustment - How to do a FBA

Hi Everyone!
In this video I will be adjusting Vogue V9053 to fit my short waist and larger bust, by doing a full bust adjustment, which leads to a better fitting pinafore dress.
I go through how to select your size based on envelope and final garment measurements, how to do the FBA and then show you the mock up and finally the completed dress and a bit of a review.
There isn’t too much actual sewing in this video, more just talking about the process and showing how to do the pattern adjustment.

Just happened to see this video, the bust adjustment was fascinating. Not sure I could do it but will see if I can figure it out. I'm not short waisted but other than that, your measurements are the same as mine so I believe your coming videos will be helpful.

Most FBA add additional length to the bodice. Your method did not. Do you think you needed that additional length?

Nice, nice result. Pattern fitting is always an exercise in problem-solving. It's so individual too, I have found the high bust measurement gives me a much more accurate fit. I usually require a forward shoulder adjustment and sometimes a narrow shoulder adjustment. I have also found that fabric choice makes a tremendous difference in success and not so much (I don't like the term fail because if I have completed it it's a win in my book).
