Pokémon Legends: Arceus is an action role-playing game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for the Nintendo Switch. It is part of the eighth generation of the Pokémon video game series and serves as a prequel to Pokémon Diamond and Pearl (2006). The game was first announced as part of the Pokémon 25th Anniversary event in February 2021 and was released worldwide on January 28, 2022.

The game follows the protagonist, sent back through time, as they travel through the Hisui region based on the island of Hokkaido during early Japanese colonization. Centered around the exploration of the region's several open areas populated with Pokémon, the game's objective is to complete a roster of the region's Pokémon, known as the Pokédex. Pokémon Legends: Arceus was a commercial success, having sold over 13.91 million copies by September 30, 2022. Pokemon Legends: Arceus was a critical success, receiving generally favorable reviews, and being nominated for several end-of-the-year awards, including Best RPG at The Game Awards.

Pichu itself is often considered a baby/pre-evolution because Pikachu eggs hatch into Pichus... so it's weird seeing a parent Pichu.

Honestly I find it funny how in x and y(I don’t know if it’s the same for past and future generations) every other Pokémon makes a unique sound and people just says “pi ka chu”

Ok, so for those that caught the pichu saying pikachu, I will say this:
What you are hearing comes from ssbu, more specifically the final smash (Pikachu - Voice #6 and Pichu - Voice #21)
Pichus line lasts 2ish seconds longer (there’s no bar that shows how long it lasts so I went by ear) and considering this short isn’t long, he could’ve went for those extra milliseconds
BUT, pichus voice line just doesn’t sound as good compared to pikachus
Pichu’s line is more like someone screaming “u” for 4 solid seconds so, take that as you will
Why did I do this? I was bored and I wanted to compare both since I had the game already booted, also curiosity…


(Edit) In summary - Pichu just don’t hit right
