Favorite vehicle I had was my 1995 f350 4x4 power stroke diesel crew cab. Never failed me. In the back mountains of Colorado while everyone else in a jeep or side by side. It was harder to maneuver around sharp slope turns especially with a manual but she did it. My second favorite would be my 2005 Mustang GT that was all rebuilt including new engine to race but was still my daily driver lol. I'm a mom still with four kids. Miss those days.

The next upgrade you should do to this 7.3 is either a locking rear diff or a limited slip differential it'll make a lot of grip more accessible and you can do donuts a lot better

Glow plugs are super simple to test on the ol 7.3’s
One version is the test light test
Then you can run the ohm resistance test

You should get a 12 valve then compare them with similar mods

I’d agree the whole package of a 7.3 is the most reliable. It’s hard to argue a 12v but it’s wrapped in a horrible truck. The problem with 7.3’s now are is their minimum 23 years old

So I have a 2000 e-350 work van, non-inter-cooled. I don’t tow anything, I’m a flooring guy so rolls of carpet and and boxes of flooring- they don’t weigh much. I like to beat on it here and there, but I can’t even get egts to 1100 if I try. It has Hydra 120 tunes, 4” straight turbo back, Donaldson 6637 blue filter cold air intake which is run under the under the chassis beneath drivers seat, and all the common deletes soon to include deleted ebpv ped. My question is when I get the kc 300 st.2 and the 180/30 injectors can I get away with no intercooler??

Oh how I wish I could just pump diesel like this. By far the most frustrating thing I have ever dealt with on my own vehicle 🎉

You cant technically check blow by using that method the ccv is vented into the intake tube but if your going to check it that way then the truck must be hot it does no good to check when cold

i have a 97 7. 3 powerstroke obs f-250 and i get about 12.2 mpg what's one thing i can add for better fuel economy 245000.0 miles i just want to see if i can bump it up but its bone stoke except for the idling chip being taken out from preieves owner stating it was faultily but no blow by runs like a champ just want to see if i can increase fuel mileage

Im looking for a new truck to me
I run a business and need it to be reliable and good with towing .
but I also want to make some power!
Should I just get a newer truck or am I really just gonna have the same amount of problems with it? if I bought a new truck it would be deleted. I also live in a colder climate.
My budget is what ever keeps me on the road and not in the shop.

I've got a question for you or your shop, I've got an obs and while I was fixing it I threw in some of those autolite glowplugs, it's been running great since then but then I've heard some not so great things recently. I've put maybe 3k Miles on it and use it to get to and from work. Do I need to stop driving it ASAP and replace them or can i wait a little while for a better day? Thanks. Love the vids

I love the reliability of my 300% injectors and stage 3 kc300x and hydra with certain guys tunes and bullt bottem end with good stage 2 hpops from cnc fab . It also helps if you do some porting on the heads and run the bee hive spings etc. All you can do is make Them better from day to day 🤷

One of the worst mods I think I’ve ever done was putting a 5 inch instead of a 4 inch system on my truck torque decrease isn’t good 👍
