I used to have an 01 grand marquis. It had a digital speedometer. Worst thing ever. It was completely wrong whenever it was really hot out or really cold. I live in MA. So both those extremes happen literally weekly.

Now, i had a fully loaded fusion for yrs. Only the speedometer was analogue. Never had problems with the digital instruments but i didnt like how slow the digital tac was. The fuel guage was good because it had more lines than an analogue one, but when you got to the last 2 lines itd turn yellow and zoom in, and remove the lines which was so stupid.

Now i own a 2018 f150 xlt only digital instrument is for the tires, settings and mpg stuff. Its inbetween the instruments. I like that. Thats how it should be. Analogue instruments with a mini digital display for other information that you dont always need to see. Full digital is stupid. Do not buy vehicles like that.

Sound like a Ford issue. No issues in either Chevy or BMW. The Suburban center screen will be a little slow changing screens, but it’s excepted with LCD.
