It is possible to using parameter or slicer filter directly to sql and get the data..For ex.where coutry='parameter'..I need to pass the country using my slicer filter

Hi there, I am trying to use field parameters to dynamically change the date grain of visuals on a page i.e Week and Period. I have a filter selection which shows value of selected field (either date or week) so a users can look back over time.

I have created 2 calculated columns which are being used by the field parameter:
1. Latest Week: if current week then 'Current' else week value,
2. Latest Period: if current period then 'Current' else Period value,

I would like to have a single select filter which defaults to 'Current' for each selected field they selected (Period or Week). But, I am not able as the filter deselects any existing filter when you change from Week to Period and shows blank.

How can I get the filter to default to 'Current' so it always defaults to the current week and period?
