For a character whose primary characteristic is being annoying, this is brilliant

If they had Darth jar jar as a joke card it would be absolutely hilarious. Even worse if they make you use the normal jar jar card. Because I know for a fact people would just eventually start throwing dice up in the air. And seeing who it lands on To keep the randomness. Without making it take forever.

This is why card games with randomness never have random targeting. It's always something that can be done with dice, and the same type of die every time, or picking random cards, which can be done really easily.

Konami once printed a card called Counter Counter, with the effect to counter a counter. The problem is, the original run of this card was not given the counter icon denoting the proper speed priority necessary to be used in a chain with counter traps.
Oops!
This was later remedied in subsequent prints. But it's still one of my favorite examples of "accidentally awful" in card games.

It makes perfect sense for the character. Jar Jar is always funpling around, sometimes he hits enemies, sometimes allies

In an older card game, jar jar was a grenade...

You could use his card to potentially remove an opponent's card... And one of the most dangerous enemies was of course darth vader, so jar jar became the most feared card out there since it could eliminate vader in a heart beat.

Try "grip of chaos" in mtg. It's an enchantment that randomizes every ability that targets a single target. And I built a deck around it

Except every time jar jar attacked in the show he only hit things with ricochet so its a flavor win to me

Yeah, this is why, at least, between my friends, we ignore the random part and just allow jar jar to choose from three targets, and out of those three, he will randomly attack one.

I remember back in Star Wars CCG (from Decipher, great game!) there was one card printed in their Special Edition expansion that created a REALLY unfun game loop. I think the card was called the Prophetess or something like that that augmented another card to let you get some crazy life regen. I remember playing against that deck which was also revolving around playing a LOT of sabbacs, which you could do as an interrupt after every opponent action, which could be as small as an equivalent of tapping a land in Magic or playing one card. It was really crazy and I think that was the only card that got the hard nerf in all of Star Wars CCG...

Okay, so the solution to the problem is just break it down to multiple steps. It's easier to roll a dice two or three times (Once to determine side in Twin Suns, once to determine player, and then once to determine what you hit)

Even, Even, 2 would be your side, yourself, then count from left to right.
