"Self-Reliance" is an 1841 essay written by American transcendentalist philosopher and essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson. It contains the most thorough statement of one of Emerson's recurrent themes: the need for each individual to avoid conformity and false consistency, and follow his own instincts and ideas. This channel will approach self reliance from a modern perspective. and will focus on various build projects using modern amenities, and tools to build a completely self reliant lifestyle.

Many people ask me where I am from and where I film my projects. I am from Northern Ontario, Canada, and live in an area where off-grinding is easy because I have lots of land to build on and experiment with different buildings and materials. Everything I do is to try to be more self reliant, and to depend less on others. But that doesn't mean I don't like working together with other people on projects. Knowing people who have skills is part of being self reliant, and trading skills is a great way to get more things done!

I love how Zac always has an excuse for not winning the simplest of challenges. It’s ok to not skip rocks awesome every time. Great video Kevin. I’m stoked for the series ❤

Enjoying watching y'all building that boat and the area y'all were working under. MAYBE Zauh and Chris can come to your area and help U and your brother build something.😃👍👊👊👊

This is such an awesome series and I’m glad you were involved in it. The interview Zach posted the other day was a really fun listen as well.

Zac’s pain tolerance must be on another level. Seeing him pull the nail from his hand while barely grimacing was mind blowing. I thought he was joking around at first.

What an awesome trip. This is definitely something you’ll never forget. You guys definitely are living the life, working for yourself and creating what you want with no rules, time constraints or haters. The good stuff man🐸🍺🔪🔥

So sick! You can tell Chris is your new buddy. Zack wasn't there to much I'm guessing it will be on his channel?

Not the first. Just gotta say love the channel and builds off grid. I do comment but often they get lost amongst the 'forest' of others like the trees you regularly maintain. Love you're work and your brother's editing. Keep up the great work 😊

Skill saw? Thought it was a circular saw. No wonder they sold it. It’s tap on, tap off😆

Two of my favorite crazy build channels morphed into one. Really enjoyed the behind the scenes action.
