Tsarouxi

A short preview of my time in the workshops of the Presidential Guard of Athens, learning the traditional Greek craft of the Tsarouchi. The documenatry as a performative act and a personal experiece. Alternating beween the spaces outside and inside the workshop I am remebering and learning the history of a tradition that is felt to be passed on. Walking barefooted accross ponds with water snakes and hammering leather on wooden feet to create shoes.
