Hey, Arch! Thanks for posting this one. I haven’t had to replace a carb yet, but I’ve only been doing this a short time. That said, what I’ve seen so far indicates most companies went away from offering carbs like this so I’m really glad to see these being made. I really like these bowls with spring-loaded drains and main jet tuning! That just makes servicing, maintenance and tuning so much easier! The only detail I might have a difference of opinion on is the non-replaceable brass needle seat. My preference is for the rubber seats that are so easy to remove and replace. It’s a minor point though.
Everything I’ve gotten from Hipa so far has been flawless, at a good price point and surprisingly well packaged. I’m also very impressed with their responsiveness - something we rarely see these days even though customer service should be at the top of the list for every company.

Definitely an option for your viewers but as Mick notes in his comment there are many mixed reviews. At Eliminator Performance we suggest our customers stay away from aftermarket carbs but if they insist on installation of these they are warned there is no guarantee from us. As the old saying goes buyer beware, you get what you pay for! At a shop hourly rate with tax it is not worth using aftermarket carbs when there is no guarantee, for the DIYer it is a great money saver that hopefully gets them up and running without issues.

Great video, but I'm suspicious that HIPA carbs are just the same 'white box' Chinese carbs that are found all over Ebay and Amazon.. Does it say on the packaging where they are made?

in all fairness to the company that makes these.
im willing to bet people dont properly tune there carbs.
I.e. vacuum gauge and A/F wideband. as many years as ive tunes car, motorcycle and small engine carbs. i can still be slightly off tune after i use my vacuum and A/F gauge to verify.
carb seems to have more tuning adjustments then most otheres.

only set back would be adaptor manifold for different motors.
