Over the past decade, real life has become so surreal that surrealist comedy can't keep up with it anymore. It's looped back around to the point that a normal, wholesome family is the most surreal thing you can possibly see these days.

I love how the 3 boys speak almost entirely in idioms. Almost every phase they utter is a common idiom.

I keep watching these and I keep expecting the shoe to drop. I keep expecting something horrible or disgusting and the tension is killing me. Then it dawned on me "am I the broken one?" This wholesomeness is really uncanny to me and I keep having the kneejerk reaction to cringe at the dialogue and I thought oh It's making me feel this I must hate it but it's like the voices and mundane sweet conversation is like Neosporin on a scraped knee it stings and makes me uncomfortable but then the subject matter and sincerity are like your mom kissing your knee and giving you your favorite Mighty Morphin power rangers bandaid on it. It's a real genuine treat to the soul to be able to feel these complex bittersweet feelings.

This is so good. I hope there’s more episodes coming. You get tired of everything being so dark and grim, especially absurdist/ surrealist comedy. This has me hooked just because it’s so wholesome while still having some room for the eerie ghost plot.
