I love angela basset and I was really impressed with her role, sucks they killed her off but so shocked they actually got some of the actual religion incorporated in the show with the orisha papa legba, aka elegua, aka eshu, and im sure many other names through out the diaspora. That really stood out to me in my life I have never seen the orishas come into play when speaking about african slave religions, all I ever see is a misrepresentation and big hollywood perpetuation of "black magic" and devil worship, which I feel there was some hints of in the show, but still it was better than most things I have seen when on this topic. And Angela is one of the greatest actresses/actors in my opinion, so this really brought it to life for me, she felt like my grandma, or TiTi(aunt) im still mad she died, and all of her shop was shop up though -_- lol
