Collecting Hot Wheels Muscle Cars

One of the things I hate about collecting Hot Wheels is finding the good cars. Why? Because everybody and their brother is out there scooping them up. So unless you are a dedicated 4 AM in the morning well connected hot wheels hunter you may never even see the best models. Everything about collecting Hot Wheels is a competition. And forget ever finding a Super Treasure Hunt. Those should be called Super You Gotta Bribe the Wal-Mart Employee to Hunt for You cars. Still I find some nice Muscle cars here and there and especially in the 5 and 9 packs. Check out these great models that are all recent finds.

Im really liking alot of the new models that have been coming out lately. I've already found a few super and regular hunts this year. plus my fiancee is a merchandiser at Weis ( our grocery store chain here in Maryland) and she puts out the toys so she has been picking up a couple for me too lol.

You're better off collecting something with less cars.
For example Ferrari cars instead.
Once you start on the muscle cars it's real easy to get conned into buying the Japanese tuner line and 4WD's.
They put out the mustang 4WD's and such.
Then they put out the mustang and truck packages.
What do you do Then?
Then You're buying the multiple packs just to get 1 car.
Sunday markets, second hand shops.
Your partner leaves you but you don't stop.

You get a frequently flyer card at the plastic storage containers business.
You can buy more cars if you walk to work.
Skip a few lunches to feed the cars.

I went back to buying slot cars cause I think I should be incontrol of the motion from the cars.

So, come on dave, lets go back to starting off collecting muscle cars or should we?
They make numerous muscle cars.
I've bought 100 or so, but if I'd have known that would happen, I would have put the money and time into buying the full-sized cars.
I've got opened boxes, empty packages, not enough storage containers, almost no display furniture, no race track, etc... 
I hate being part of BUYING FRENZY, etc. Men spies, no conventions in Australia. 
In Australia nobody has conversations anymore. They just punch each other or stab them straight away before introductions.

So I'm looking at YOUR high level collecting, and I think what all you guys are doing isn't a possibility for us and me.
I haven't had a conversation with anyone in the last 20 years.
Trading for me is never going to happen.

I get down to my last dollar and I spend it on hotwheels.

Like you, I came back into buying in the 90's from the 70's and bowed out due to the crap that was on offer.

The last 3 years I've got enough cars to see how the business operates.
