Great explanation. I have to say based on how much Sabaac I've done so far, you both can and should cheat as often as you need to. Literally every time I do a dice roll I use the magnetic dice, and it sometimes gets opponents supicious, but I've yet to escalate past that. Legit like 5 games where I use one or more cheats per round. I'm pretty sure they've designed the game around the cheating. Particularly in high-stakes games it's about the only way to win.

Also also pay attention to what cards your opponents are discarding when they don't stand, the UI up the top shows you what cards they drop during their turn. If you don't want to rely on Nix eyeing their hands for you, this is a good way to get a sense of how good/low their hand is.
Also also also if your opponents only have a chip or two left and you use a Shift to drain them completely, they lose the ability to draw new cards. For particularly tough opponents this can be a great way to stick them with a bad hand and work on improving your own.
