3 things to ask ones self before speaking,
Is it kind?
Is it necessary?
Is it true?

'Those that feel offended generally need to feel offended.'
- I always liked that one and actually is quite deep.

Cognitive dissonance is 2020's true "new abnormal" due to the corruption of language and violation of even simple logic. This was such a needed "Take", thank you!

I've fought for the word anarchy for 10 years. I still do but kinda prefer anarcho-capitalist now. But, one word they haven't totally corrupted yet, and it will be hard, is voluntaryist... a person who believes all human interaction should be voluntary. :)

Great show! It’s nice to know that there are a few people that still believe in true definitions of words.

English is the only language where "Shit" is offensive, Novel means "New Truth", and Science means "Listen to the media"
Its a freakin miracle we can even communicate at all. And don't get me started on the grammer nazi's.
Great show guys!💛

The most misused word that has taken on extreme levels of double-speak is "misinformation".

I work at a "woke" company in MA. Supposedly, it was recently some sort of Latino appreciation day or week or whatever, and there was a work email about "appreciating Latinx people." I asked a friend of mine who is latino "what do you think about the word 'latinx?" He replied "why do liberals ruin everything? I don't know any latinos who use that word, wtf?" lol.

Check out the Anatomy of Slavespeak by Frederick Mann. Here's a short excerpt:

"The use of one word can have vast and far-reaching consequences. Suppose I brand you as "selfish" in front of a typical audience. This probably triggers emotions in the audience, such as disgust and hatred. It probably also triggers associations, such as: "He only cares about himself"; "He's greedy"; "He takes unfair advantage of others"; etc. The word "selfishness" constitutes a devastating package-deal.

And I suggest that most Slavespeak words (like "government, " "state, " "constitution, " "law, " "king, " "president, " etc.) are such intellect-devastating, thought-destroying package-deals -- that tend to trigger automatic meanings, images, associations, emotions, attitudes, and hypnotic, stupefying inhibitions -- beneficial to terrocrats and harmful to their victims."

I think an important distinction that nearly everyone is unaware of is the between government and the State. Even Aristotle couldn't figure it out. When people like Jefferson, Paine, and the like talked about an organization based on self-governance, voluntary participation, justice they were referring to how government should be. The State is when government turns into a monopoly on violence in a given area where they enforce positive rights instead of just negative rights.

Interesting. William Buckley, William Shattner, Bing Crosby, Orson Wells, Charles Laughton, WC Fields, Winston Churchill, and Will Rogers would endorse this scholarly observation of the times. Possibly Mel Brooks and Sid Ceaser and Jonathon Winters and Art Carney as well. Duke Ellington, Burl Ives, and Gary Cooper also.

For me the word would be inflation ... always confused and used incorrectly

Below is a reply to a Commenter, here. I think my reply may be significant:

One should question intentional grammar or epistemological manipulations. It needs to be called when outright liars or insurrectionists are using marketing techniques or deceptions

If one of the Plebians, Slaves, Innocents, or Individuals are misusing language though,
It is superior to inform the person in private, and still be wise to avoid shaming, what could be an ally.

Btw, I live on the street. I can talk with the People in St Louis or in Farmington. Cross cultural dialogue is essential.
