Old school magic meets the modern world in the epic adventure THE KID WHO WOULD BE KING. Alex (Ashbourne Serkis) thinks he's just another nobody, until he stumbles upon the mythical Sword in the Stone, Excalibur. Ok so I was excited for this movie until 1:25 honestly the reason behind it was that they didn't stick to the storyline in the PJ books but then again this is not based in a movie and it's a kid's movie so I will give a try 😊

1) From those behind the Percy Jackson movie? Oh gods no...
2) They totally stole that music from Pirates of the Caribbean

just going to think of the merlin series while watchng this and critize the hell out of it becasue i want to be like the merlin series soo bad

1- the director of Percy Jackson literally ruined Percy Jackson, the movie was so different from the book, the book is 100 thousand times better, so read the book.
2- I hate these kinds of movies where the kid is so idk cringy, but that happens when the kid doesn't know how to act (compare Harry Potter to the house with a clock in its walls) so I'm not gonna watch this in the cinema
3- if I do eventually watch this (not in the cinema) I'm always gonna be thinking about the Merlin series, which I cried in when it ended and always cry every time I repeat it and see author die, and even though he know he's gonna die, sometimes I just say you can do it Arthur, don't die.

Pshh.. everyone knows king "Arthur" was a blonde haired, green eyed, 154cm, 42kg, ahoge-sporting chick with a penchant for shooting light beams out of her sword..

Unless we're talking about the time she gets corrupted, loses the ahoge, and starts shooting dark beams out of her sword.. Or the time before she became king was even shorter and smaller and had a different sword that shot smaller beams. Or the time where Bedivere never returned the sword to the lake and she became an immortal goddess, grew taller (and bigger), and switched to using a lance that shot beams. Or that time where she had the lance too (still fires beams), but loses the ahoge and becomes "darker". Or the time she traded her armor for a swimsuit and the sword for a water gun that shot beams.
