#Gravitas | There is a new race in space between China and the U.S., but this has got nothing to do with exploration. Rather it is about something much more symbolic. They are battling each other to set a time zone on the Moon. Watch in for more details!

"by controlling time, Britain controlled commerce...." That statement really is just beyond the pale. The Crown offered $10, 000 pounds Sterling to whoever could fabricate a reliable, seaworthy timepiece, which was critical to enabling a sailing ship's captain to accurately determine the ship's longitude. (too long to explain, do your own research). Britain no more controlled time than anyone else (not a slam on the U.K.). Great Britain simply had the financial resources and legitimate reasons of commerce to enable motivation for inventors to actually make a reliable timepiece. Where do journalists learn their that was a pathetic piece of journalism.
