No way a slightly rundown house is 40% cheaper than the neighbouring houses. Where's the stamp duty. Only 15k to refurbish a whole house... I can't get a builder to come over for a tea for anything less than 10k. Given you bought the house with a mortgage, I assume you've taken out a minimum of 2 years, so you have to wait for that or pay an early repayment charge before refinancing. You forgot about the product fee in the mortgage and all other associated costs when buying or remortgaging a house. Also, while it's being refurbished, who is paying the mortgage? Soooo many holes in this video it's crazy!

Buy to rent is more than 25% deposit I believe and £15000 won't cut it if you need new elec and plumbing

I bought a can of lidl beans for £0.15, refurbed the can at a cost of £0.9 . Went the bank to get money out on the beans . They told me I’m insane and there’s no way they will do that and basically told me to do a runner. So at the moment I’m refurbing a pack of runner beans . I’ll keep you posted

Yes but where does the £60k for the purchase in the first place? Yes it might be mortgaged but a deposit is needed and what about the refurb budget, no explanation where this comes from, not to mention it will cost a lot more than £15k

This is common knowledge that buy ro let Landlords do. The problem is you will have to wait 6 months before you can remortgage and you have to find tenants. In areas were the houses are 100k you will struggle to find reliable tenants and pay your mortgage. This can work when the economy is good but at the moment its a recipe for disaster. Thats why you are selling dodgy online ingo instead if actually doing the houses
