You can do the same thing to single door refrigerators, and certain freezers too. It makes no sense to keep opening a fridge door facing a wall.

This does not work on all washers and dryers tho! My boyfriend worked with these kinds of appliances and he showed me how to change the door on our washer. Let’s just say, we had to undress the whole machine, take out about 20 screws or more and it took us about an hour. (And this is his profession). Truly love how easy some machines are, however never expect every machine to be this easy

It's a bit more complicated than just flipping the door. Take a look at the latching mechanism, opening to the left the latch is downwards, if you flip the door the latch is now upwards. When I did this, I had to take thr door apart and flip the hinge and latch to have it work properly. Not hard work, just not as easy as removing four screws and reattached them.

Usually the washer and dryer outlets and the electric/gas installations are set for the washer to be installed on the left and the dryer on the right. I’m glad you got yours set up so you don’t have a hassle.

Usually the washer is on the left, and the dryer on the right. Depends on the placement of the water inlet, and the dryer vent (which also can be moved.) I find it easier to work from left to right, so putting heavy, wet clothing in the dryer... I'd prefer the washer on the left/dryer on the right. In this case, I'd prefer to move the machines.

Took us ten years just to turn one of the doors around, our dryer and washer has the same door lol but we haven't turned the washer's door around yet

I like my washer on the left and my dryer on the right so it would been ok for me BUT i never knew u could change it!!🤯 i just learned a few years or so ago that most fridge doors can b changed too🤯

Sometimes you need to take off a few more pieces than just the hinge screws, but generally you can flip most of them this easily. It’s amazing how many people live with the hassle rather than just get a screwdriver out.
