“You know, when I was a boy, I fell in love with the Virgin Mary. It happened in a little Bavarian town called Altötting.” Mesmerizing, haunting, and deeply personal, Altötting is a coming-of-age story about love, faith, mortality, and shattered illusions.

Aw man.. I remember growing up in a religious house hold and feeling the beauty in religion and grace. But one day it left me too when I understood the bleak and stillness of death. I was never bitter nor did I ever curse at the thought of religion. But I feel just as haunted when I think of the beauty that existed in the embrace and comfort of the religion I grew up in and no longer partake or worship.

By the way, I forgot to mention that during WW2 Irlmaier saved many lives by telling people exactly to the squaremeter, where falling bombs are going to hit.

Weird, but very well done!
In the 1950ies there was a german seer, by the name of Alois Irlmaier, and he foretold, that the area around Altoetting ( Altötting ) will be a save place during WW3. It will be guarded by the coat of Mother Mary, he said.
Looks like, this time will come very soon.

What is the name of the music at 8:20? I hear Ave Maria, but who composed it...?

Why it's easy for Christians to draw and make stories about Virgin Mary in such a way!

I'm not even Catholic, but why is the taxpayer funding this heathenry?
