The living God of the Surf Guitar. Dick pays homage to his Lebanese roots w/ this one. Ironic in these most Arab loathing of times in America that an Arab-American kid created that most iconic and innocent of American rock styles, surf music. His contributions to what became hard rock, power chords, the beefed up amps to play 'em on, came while inventing surf music. Dick is the Man.

Go to a CD if you want to REALLY hear it.
It lost a lot in this transfer.
But, thank you for posting.

always my favorite DD song. RIP, Dolly from Neptune's Net on PCH...used to hear this in the background as she read the surf report by looking out the front door to County. Now, it's 5, 000 guys on one wave because of the fucking internet. never a surpise 6' and glassy because you understood a tide chart and watched the weather report the night before. ...

DD was very entertaining all the way until his death. A little decline in sheer power when he got into his 70s, but he compensated by doing acoustic numbers and stuff. The man was a showman of the old school, not just a flashy guitarist.
