Maxwell is an electromagnetic tool integrated into the Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT). It offers simulation of low-frequency electromagnetic devices with various solvers to get accurate results. Maxwell allows you to plot several results, including force, torque, inductance, and capacitance plot and visualize magnetic and electric fields.

This video introduces the basics of the Maxwell tool with an example of an electromagnetic fail-safe brake (EMB), which we will simulate and analyze in the next lesson. This video describes the applications of EMB and how it works.
