Implementing a gRPC client and server in Typescript with Node

TypeScript brings many benefits to JavaScript. In this video, we will look at using gRPC to generate TypeScript files for interacting with a gRPC as a server or client. Setup this process can be fiddly, hopefully in this video will make it easier to understand.

Really cool video! Can you please go a little bit slower? I barely had time to understand what you were typing that you moved along!

Doesn't work on WIndows 10 in 2024. Too many grpc errors. Is there an update?

for npm users:
`npm run grpc_tools_node_protoc` will not work unless you have `grpc-tools` installed globally. use `npx grpc_tools_node_proto` and you dont need `--plugin` anymore.

Could have been a good tutorial, but you moved too fast (even for intermediate level) and you didn't show some import parts in your pasted code.

Way too abbreviated, too much like a tik tok cooking video where the steps are shown without any explanation. Would have been great if reasons for certain decisions and/or brief explanations of how to build on the example in certain ways were given. Thanks for posting it, though :-)

3:49 long video. Spends ~41 seconds with a nonsense intro with trademark terrible music leaving ~2:00 of time to rush through a terrible example explaining nothing. Thanks for wasting 3:49 of my life.
