The 14th Amendment isn’t about anchor baby citizenship, it’s about citizenship for slaves who had been born in the USA prior to emancipation and abolition of slavery, but who were always subject to the jurisdiction of the USA. Illegal foreigners aren’t technically “subject to the jurisdiction of the USA.” They’re subject to being handed over to their home nation’s embassy or being deported to their home nation, which retains technical jurisdiction over them. The progzi interpretation of 14th A is an anachronism fallacy and completely fails to understand the meaning of “subject to the jurisdiction.” Could it have been better written? Certainly. Is it unintelligible or so ambiguous that rational, scholarly people can’t divine its meaning, as written? Not at all. PDJT can define terms by executive order for purposes of directing enforcement actions under existing law. SCOTUS will probably ultimately rule on whether those definitions are correct or sustainable as executive/administrative rule making. It’s not a wall, but it’s a step in the right direction.

With a conservative majority on the Supreme Court now, they're most likely going to side with Trump.

It's a loophole that's been needing to be closed for a while now. You should have at least one parent be a citizen to gain citizenship at birth. The "luck" of being born in the US borders should not automatically make you a citizen.
