If you can find the screws just remove the screws with the cordless drill this way the sheets will come off in a full pc and you don’t have to go back and remove all these 1” circles of drywall and screws that’s like double work.

I’ve been using a 2” holesaw with the arbor in pace. I find the screw with a round magnet that is on a short leash.
When it sticks to a screw I tap it with a hammer to mark the spot. After marking several, I place indentation between
the arbor (pilot bit) and the circular blade and drill through the drywall. The drywall circle sometimes stays inside
the saw, but more often sticks to the wall. Two flat blade screwdrivers easily pop it out to reveal the screw which
is no longer in contact with the drywall.

Thank you Lee. I tried this and it worked well. Not something a professional would do as its a wee bit time consuming but, as a diy enthuseast, it worked really well and helped me find the nails and remove drywall ( or plasterboard as we call it this side of the Atlantic ). Again, thanks.

use magnet, find screw, unscrew it, leaves much less damage to deal with later.

What I do is once you find the screw head, I just take your impact driver and drill it out. If needed I use a blade or screw to dig it out to the threats then the impact will spin it out. I would think that would create a lot less dust.

When he hold the coffee cup, I thought he gonna pour the liquid on the drywall.

you can also just use a strong magnest (like a rare earth magnet) and it will tell you where all the screw heads are. super fast and easy

Instead of using a bolt, you could cut 1/2 inch from the bit and use that as a stop, so you cut to exactly the right depth.

Drilling holes in drywall will still generate a lot of dust, won't it? You could try pointing a HEPA vac, or a central vac that vents outside, at the hole while drilling it to reduce the dust even more.

Coffee acidity is affecting you. I have the same problem but goes away with a product that my wife found. Try Magic Coffee which has the caffeine without the uncomfortable burping from the acidity of regular coffee.

The vinyl covering on my wall board can't be replaced but I need to get in to the wall and the wall board is glued to the studs

good Idea but why not just let that drill take off and cut the hole why did you hesitate?

Hmm. Hard to get the right depth i think. May damage stud

if you know where the screw is, just unscrew it. You are seriously over-complicating this and making a mess.

Off course you know how it’s going to work out; you’ve already drilled the Sheetrock twice on the left side bruh. Cool idea however.
