Holy shit kurt, I'm form Medellín and i can tell you there is no way i walk to that side of parque Berrío (that metro station) that's one of the most dangerous places in the city and going there with a camera just wow.

13:01 guys were about to mug you but they realized you were filming
13:46 Chick grabbing your stomach was feeling for a money belt. Passsed the info onto pick pocketers/muggers
17:22 guy gets unwrapped straw far away from others and holds it very carefully... suggest it was spiked with something. Likely burundanga powder, also known as the zombie drug
20:05 2 guys taking pictures/recording of you. Not sure what they were up to but maybe it's unique to see white tourist who act so oblivious?
21:04 and 22:25 you were being followed by a man in a pink shirt who was for sure going to mug you if the boys on the bikes hadn't helped you out

The Young lady that asked if she could help him at the pastry stand and the two young men on bikes , were absolute angels you could tell they have good souls . It’s refreshing to know that there’s still really good people out there in this world especially nowadays. I’m from the hood and I can tell you were raised in environments similar. Based on your awareness level.. the moment you smell like you’re intimidated is when you lose yourself. Traveling is more about having a healthy self esteem and knowing your limits. Kurt seems assertive, friendly and shows a cool energy. That's why things goes well wherever he visits. You can go to places but in areas that you know there's trouble or heard of trouble, you just go and leave not stay in. He did well. If you don't look for drama there's not going to be drama 95 percent of the time.
