KT Gorique

Rapper and actress KT Gorique was born in Côte d ‘Ivoire, and has been based in Switzerland since she was 11 years old. It was through dancing that she discovered and immersed herself in the hip-hop culture. At the age of 21, she was “World Champion” in the battle “End of the Weak” in New York, and also the first and youngest woman to obtain this title in history. For her performance in the film “Brooklyn”, she won the Best Actress Award at the Milan Film Festival (2016) and at the New York Hip Hop Film Festival (2017). With four albums released, the artist is quickly securing her place in the hip-hop temple as a force to be reckoned with. From street dance to the power of words, she has found her identity, ranging from Switzerland to West Africa, resonating in Italy, Germany and France, as well as in the US, and Canada. His latest album Akwaba transports us to her universe, both intimate and chaotic, where the vibrations of reggae and ragga meet the sounds of African percussion, and electric guitar riffs. Because of her wide range of talents, the nickname “Couteau-Suisse” (Swiss Army Knife) was given to KT Gorique. She promises to raise the temperature of the Porto audience with her music that goes from hip-hop to dancehall and reggae.
