Hot take: unsummonings should be like CoH and they should have to retreat off the map instead of teleporting. Like, a good-order withdrawal - not a break and run. Much less frustration than with those sneaky artillery pieces just disappearing by the time I manage to get a cavalry unit over there.

I do not miss the Luthor Harken of old, either outdueling everyone and crushing any single entity alone, or outdueling everyone and drawkiting any single entity alone... Still, it's nice that coast has a wide range of viable lord options.

I know I’ve heard of some fellas doing kit bashes to run vampire coast as a tomb king proxy on tabletop! Not exactly the same, but it can be a ranged undead faction!

Just to comment on your thought about the coast making it to AoS, i think youre really onto something. They could be Nagashes way to deal with the Idoneth deepkin, and he could bring back count noctilis and use a big ritual to create a new galleons graveyard(or just reopen the gate to it defending on your persuasion as to what it is) on Shyish, and Noctilis and/or some new person and their fleets could use it to sail out to all the oceans of the realms to raid the coastlines and attack the Idoneth
Luthor could be a named hero that could be taken as a lord for both the new coast, and soulblight

I think it was the carrion that Luthor was fighting at the end that ended up killing him. Those things are deceptively dangerous, high weapon strength and melee defence mean they deal a lot of damage against low armoured targets, especially if they can surround the enemy.
