One thing they messed up was in Super Hero when Vegeta was meditating he acted like he didn’t know what meditating is while in manga he was rather shocked that Vegeta of all people is meditating

Let's not ignore how Goku recruited Freeza for the T.O.P. In the anime, Goku tricked Freeza into thinking he would be brought back to life with the Earth dragon balls, knowing full well that they don't bring back previously dead people. (For a 2nd time) That's some genius right there. It's not as fleshed out in the manga, sadly.
Edit: Alright so look Goku doesn't flat out trick Freeza here. But he does let him dig his own grave, as Freeza wants to specially use the Earth dragon balls to resurrect himself. Goku doesn't bother to correct him either. Likely knowing to limit I mentioned above.

Goku in the manga never challenged Beerus, he was just was curious Beerus heard it from the distance

He was perfectly conscious about the energy wasted by the blue, so he used the god against Hit and waited to the strongest attack of his enemy to finally surprise him with the blue

In the manga, Goku did quite the strategic move when he used instant transmission in a row in order for Gas to follow him and then did the teleportation sequence in reverse so fast that Gas couldn't lock in his Ki and trap him far away so he could buy time to recover. Probably the smartest use of the Instant Transmission

I really hope that when we get the Moro saga animated they will give Goku some of his manga counterpart maturity so we can see him shine with his battle iq and maturity

Yes this is true, however there is no such anime adaptation of any saga after the tournament of power, in order it isn’t fair to compare late Goku to an earlier Goku
