What upsets me the most is he was just canon fodder for the death scene in season 4. He could have made a good addition to the group.

In a way they were hinting at his death. Eddie saying they weren’t heroes, saying for Dustin to never change, the BAT-tle joke (considering Eddie died to bats) and just everything in general. He was such a good character man, they could’ve used him so much in S5, and Max 😢 (Caleb acted so well in that part, one of my favorite characters by far)

The part When he dies is so depressing even though we only got 1 season with him... A heartwarming fact is when Eddie died next to Dustin He said "I love you man" Which was not in the script but I couldn't picture it any different
