When waves come crashing over the tops of 2-story buildings, I need to find another place to be. That was scary.

I'm timorous on the cycle crypto Is moving.. looking at this crypto won't last for long as expected.... we need each other's opinion or suggestion.. with my good knowledge there are still beneficiaries in crypto.

I rented a one story "apartment" on the water when I moved to Galveston Bay. It was actually two apartments side by side. The other one was still vacant. They used to be a bait camp and marina. The docks were still there too. I thought the price was too good to be true, but I moved in anyway. I did notice that the carpet was pretty worn out and loose around the edges and the base cabinets all had damage on the lower parts, but had been painted recently. About a month later I swung my feet out of bed and into about 6 inches of water. It was high tide with a full moon and the apartment was flooded. I got dressed and grabbed my little doggo and opened the front door. The parking lot looked like a lake. I got in my truck and drove to the landlord's house and banged on his door. He didn't balk about giving me my deposit back or that I was breaking a 6 month lease. I guess he was just glad I wasn't suing him for not telling me about the flooding!

I live on Maui and a wave like that has NEVER happened? We are experiencing high wave activity on the South shores but this is unprecedented.

No way. I lived in Thailand where the big tsunami hit. I would have been running for the hills if I saw this

This is a tell tell sign that you live too close to the water.

That was a lot of water. I’d like to see the windows on the other side of that apartment complex.

I live on the California coast, we were warned a few days ago to be on the watch because of a "King Tide" The moon and the sun are in the right position to cause a bigger than normal Tide surge.

The condos saved them from a direct hit.

they're insane, laughing about homes being flooded...that's like me laughing because the tornado destroyed my neighbors' house, not mine. despicable.

I remember sailing out of a North Pacific storm to the leeward side and pulling into Pearl. Then went to the North shore and watched the locals surf the 90 footers. Storm waves do get that big.
Even bigger in the Gulf of Alaska.

That's a big wave. It had to have severely damaged the apartment building it hit.
