I still remember watching the Northeast United FC play while my father was watching ISL in 2014 from that day I started supporting the team
2015 we finished 5th in ISL
2016 we finished 5th in ISL again
2016, 2017 we performed poorly and finished in bottom
But in 2018 things started to change and we qualified for our first ever semi finals which we eventually lost in 2nd leg against BFC
2019 we performed poorly again
2020 we manage to qualified again in semis but lost in 2nd leg again against ATKMB (now MBSG)

2021, 22 we were trolled to play in the I-LEAGUE for our performance
but things changed and our management and coaching staff, CEO was replaced and we started from 0 once again
2023 Durand Cup semi finals we bottled 2-0 lead again Emami East Bengal FC in the semi Finals
Memes were made against us calling our club a banter club
But In ISL and Kalinga Super Cup we made massive progress 🙏🏻
And finally in 2024 Durand Cup we managed to qualify for the final in our history for the first time ever
And we killed it defeating MBSG in their own home wasn't easy
But we did it

Highlanders till life!!
They are the Ajax or Dortmund of Indian Club Football. All the big clubs poach the home-grown talents of NEUFC with huge amounts and every season our team literally has to start to build the squad from scratch! Too much disappointments and some glimmers of joy throughout the decade, still the fans and especially John stood for the club and backed the lads day in and day out!!
Nothing can be more special than yesterday!!
(Barca's 7-0 legit was the cherry on top of such a memorable day for me)

Thanks zeeshan bhai. As a guy from Assam and u cant imagine how long i was waiting for this moment. For 10 years i had to suffer the pain and redicule of supporting NEUFC because they kept on performing poorly on field and the management was shit. Its not like fans hated the team due to which they didn't want to come to the stadium, Its just that people had enough of the incompetent management. Still i stuck to this team waiting for the light in the end of the tunnel and finally it came. Winning a legendary tournament like durand cup will do a lot for the reputation of NEUFC and mindset of the fanbase. Defeating Mohan bagan in salt lake stadium is no joke and the MBSG team had better quality of players. I hope this is a start of something new.
