Показать описание
Low boost levels, high EGT's, poor performance and excessive black smoke are the most common indicators. If you are experiencing these in your truck, then this is for you. Boost leaks big and small can negatively effect your trucks performance! Boost leaks also occur most often on a NEW turbo install with brand NEW parts.

Video showed exactly how fast a proper sealed system should still drop which answered my question. Thanks

Woww the best boost leak tutorial ever. I just recently upgraded my diverted valve on my car, and wanted to make sure I didn’t have any boost leaks. Thanks

Spring clamps are actually the correct clamps for the job and the cheap jubilee you are using will create a leak down the road as they can't compensate for heat cycles and play. The best would be the very simple ear clamp for small hoses, they are perfect for those applications.

Like others have mentioned I see, this is awesome!
And not falsely looking for vacuum leaks and saying it can find boost leaks, doesn't work like that.

A boost leak can sometimes only be found during pressure, cause sometimes it will seal shut during vacuum and no amount of brakeclean will find it's way into the engine!

I did this exact method with a black piece of PVC and found my turbo housing was leaking. They put the wrong gasket in when it was rebuilt by the previous owner. I got everything from RiffRaff to rebuild it and added a bunch of extras. I love my 7.3 now.

You could use a pressure regulator and leave it constantly pumping

I out that the ebp sensor was leaking badly. Replaced it as well as the pig tail. Now I also know that the boot from the inter cooler to the turbo had a small tear on it. I slid it further down to avoid the small 1/2 inch tear. Probably leaking from there.

My Ram has a very loud high whistle when it boost. not the normal turbo sound. Must be a leak or not????

I have been told that the pinch style connectors can adapt to heat while the hose clamps can get too tight and damage the nipples they’re attached to.

The red hose....can we just completely delete it? Cap it at the solenoid? As well as the small cap you did on the intake in the vid...Obviously leaving the green line alone.

Nice video! I have been putting this off. Good info to get me started. Are those common leak areas on 7.3l? Thanks again for the video

What does it mean when the gauge on the tester stays at zero? It won't move at all, yet everywhere I spray with soapy water there are no bubbles.

Starting to get extremely frustrated.
